China Warns Japan Over Taiwan-Related Political Signals

Date:

China warns Japan over Taiwan-related political signals as tensions rise following a visit by a Taiwan official to Japan. A spokesperson from China’s foreign ministry made strong remarks concerning the matter during a press briefing.

First, the Chinese spokesperson criticized Japan for allowing Lin Chia-lung, head of Taiwan’s foreign affairs department, to visit and meet with Japanese politicians. Chinese officials said that this act violates past agreements and damages trust between the two countries. According to China, China warns Japan over Taiwan-related political signals to protect its national unity and sovereignty.

Moreover, China stressed that Taiwan is a permanent part of its territory. Officials stated that the Taiwan issue lies at the heart of China’s most important national interests. They explained that Japan’s actions hurt the political foundation of China-Japan relations. Additionally, they damage basic trust between both governments. China warns Japan that undermining this core issue could harm long-term bilateral relations.

China already delivered formal protests in both Beijing and Tokyo. Leaders emphasized that allowing any Taiwan official to interact with Japanese lawmakers sends the wrong message. Therefore, China warns Japan over Taiwan-related political signals as part of a firm defense of its sovereignty and historical claim to Taiwan.

Furthermore, China reminded Japan of its colonial past. Officials recalled that Japan ruled Taiwan for 50 years. This period, they said, caused deep harm to the Chinese people. As this year marks the 80th anniversary of victory in the anti-fascist war, China’s message to Japan includes a call to reflect seriously on that history and avoid reopening old wounds.

China also urged Japan to follow past diplomatic agreements. The spokesperson called on Japan to honor the four political documents that serve as the foundation of China-Japan relations. At the same time, Beijing asked Tokyo to stay cautious and avoid actions that harm China’s core interests. China warns Japan that such provocations could destabilize a delicate peace.

In addition, China said Japan should never support or legitimize any pro-independence actions related to Taiwan. Chinese leaders warned that ignoring this could weaken peace and stability in the region. Beijing’s warning to Tokyo was firm and intended to prevent future diplomatic friction.

Finally, China stated that the country remains firm and united. Chinese officials stressed their ability and determination to protect sovereignty and territorial integrity. For that reason, China warns Japan over Taiwan-related political signals to prevent further damage to their diplomatic relationship and regional stability.
