Jensen Huang Hosts Taipei Supplier Dinner, Strengthening Ties with Taiwan’s Top Tech CEOs

Date:

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently hosted an exclusive supplier dinner in Taipei, reinforcing his company’s strong ties with Taiwan’s technology leaders. The event took place at the Brick Kiln Restaurant on Saturday evening. Huang greeted guests personally, entering through a side door to maintain a low profile.

The dinner brought together around 30 key executives from Taiwan’s tech sector. Notable attendees included TSMC CEO Wei Che-chia, Siliconware Precision Chair Tsai Chi-wen, Quanta Computer Chair Barry Lam, and Pegatron Chair Tung Tzu-hsien. In addition, chairs and CEOs from Wistron, Acer, Asus, Inventec, MediaTek, Foxconn, and Compal were also present. Notably, Compal’s Chair Chen Rui-cong attended the dinner for the first time, after missing last year’s event.

Throughout the evening, Huang praised the attendees as “the world’s most amazing CEOs,” highlighting the importance of their collaboration with Nvidia. Despite heavy rain in the afternoon, many media outlets gathered outside, hoping to catch a glimpse of these tech titans or conduct interviews.

Before the dinner, Lite-On Technology’s General Manager Anson Chiu spoke with reporters. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Nvidia on the new GB300 AI server. He also mentioned hopes to expand cooperation into the Middle East market. However, uncertainties around tariffs and regulations continue to create challenges.

Mike Yang, president of Quanta Cloud Technology, added that growing AI demand drives tighter cooperation with Nvidia. Still, he said expanding into the Middle East remains unclear due to ongoing market uncertainties.

Recently, Huang returned from a Middle East trip that coincided with a visit by former U.S. President Donald Trump. During the trip, Nvidia secured agreements to supply AI chips for new data centers in the region. Huang described this as a major success for both Nvidia and Trump’s efforts.

Looking ahead, many executives at the dinner—including Huang—plan to attend Computex. The technology trade show runs from Tuesday through Friday at the Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei. The event provides a key opportunity for Nvidia and its partners to showcase innovations and strengthen industry ties.

In summary, Jensen Huang’s supplier dinner in Taipei demonstrated Nvidia’s commitment to its supply chain partners. Through this gathering, Huang reinforced relationships with Taiwan’s top tech CEOs ahead of Computex, highlighting the growing importance of AI and global collaboration.
