Lai Ching-te Condemns Kashmir Attack

President Lai Ching-te condemned the recent deadly attack in Kashmir that left 26 civilians dead. He expressed deep sympathy to the victims and support for the people of India. His message came in response to a brutal assault on tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir.

On Thursday, Lai shared a message on X, addressing the tragedy that shocked the global community. He stated that Taiwan stands with the international community in condemning such violence. Lai Ching-te condemns Kashmir attack and emphasized that Taiwan opposes any form of violence against innocent people.

Indian police reported that four militants carried out the assault. They shot mostly Indian tourists at close range. Authorities attributed the attack to militants who oppose Indian control in the region. The brutal act prompted strong reactions from international leaders.

India’s representative office in Taiwan responded with appreciation. The India Taipei Association thanked Lai for his heartfelt words. It said that Lai’s message would bring comfort to the grieving families. Lai Ching-te condemns Kashmir attack and reassured India of Taiwan’s solidarity in this difficult time.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned early from a diplomatic trip to Saudi Arabia. He vowed to bring the attackers and their supporters to justice. In a post on X, he declared that India would not rest until every terrorist is held accountable. He also promised to identify, track, and punish the attackers and those behind them.

World leaders echoed Lai’s condemnation. US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres all denounced the attack. They joined global voices in demanding justice and condemning violence against civilians.

Lai Ching-te condemns Kashmir attack with clarity and solidarity, showing Taiwan’s alignment with global values. His statement added weight to the international response against terrorism. The event has drawn renewed focus on security and regional tensions in Kashmir.

As investigations continue, India remains firm in its resolve. The government has increased security efforts and vowed retaliation. Meanwhile, nations across the globe, including Taiwan, stand united in their support for peace and justice.
