Skilled Professionals Training Boosted by Mongolia-Germany Partnership

Date:

On April 7, 2025, Mongolian and German business leaders came together to advance skilled professionals training. President of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI), Tur-Od Lkhagvajav, hosted a meeting with Dieter Bauhaus, President of Germany’s Erfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. They were joined by a German delegation and other business leaders.

Tur-Od Lkhagvajav outlined MNCCI’s mission and its long-standing partnership with Germany. He highlighted several initiatives currently underway. He also stressed the need to improve the Chamber’s internal systems and legal structure. Additionally, he discussed plans to strengthen the Chamber’s 21 provincial branches.

Most importantly, he emphasized skilled professionals training as a national priority. He noted Mongolia’s increasing demand for workforce development. He also expressed strong interest in boosting vocational education and human resource training in all aimags.

Dieter Bauhaus reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to supporting Mongolia’s workforce goals. He said Germany would offer full support in creating a structured training system. This system would prepare workers for in-demand fields across various industries.

Bauhaus shared how Germany manages its vocational programs. German businesses specify their workforce needs in advance. Then, the Chambers of Commerce and Industry design training courses to meet those needs. Typically, they offer 200 to 300 types of training programs.

The process includes in-depth research, candidate selection, and hands-on training. Most importantly, companies validate and accept the graduates’ qualifications. This ensures a direct link between training and employment.

The two parties agreed to enhance collaboration in vocational education. They also discussed adapting Germany’s model to Mongolia’s economic needs.

This partnership promises to bring modern training to Mongolia. Skilled professionals training will not only benefit companies but also strengthen the national economy.
