It sits just north of the river, close to World Cup Park. Residents can now kayak, yacht, and windsurf at affordable rates. The city government plans to promote the area as a water activity hub.
The Han River water leisure hub offers equipment rentals and personal watercraft storage. Prices for activities range from 10,000 to 80,000 won, depending on the experience. Visitors can try kayaks, dinghies, or keelboats with safety instruction provided. The kayak program operates from noon until 30 minutes before sunset. Each session lasts two hours and fits up to 10 people per hour.
Teenagers aged 14 and older can also try yachting and keelboat programs. Dinghy sessions require at least five participants and last four hours. Keelboat courses include entry-level and advanced options. Reservations are open by phone and, by mid-May, through Naver’s online platform. All programs include safety training with professionals.
The Han River water leisure hub also supports private vessel owners. It has mooring for 30 powered boats under nine meters in length. Land storage can hold 54 powered vessels and 130 non-powered watercraft like kayaks and windsurfing boards. People can apply for mooring by email or in person at the center. City officials say the new center will strengthen public engagement with the river. They aim to attract both casual visitors and regular enthusiasts.
